How do i place scientific notation into an excel spreadsheet cell, and use it in various other cells?
Q. I need to place scientific notation into a cell in an excel spread sheet so that I can use it in further calculations, is this possible? For example: 5.6851*10^26 I have tried simply placing an equals sign infront of the number, but this does not seem to help? Any advice would be appreaciated!

A. Click on the cell(s) in question. From the menu, select 'Format>cells' then click on the 'Number' tab and select 'scientific' from the categories list. You can also specify the number of decimal places to use. To enter a value into the cell you should either enter it as a real number (nnn.nn) OR in the format n.nnE+n, don't use the ^ operator.

How do you place marketing postcards in cafes and bars?
Q. I have a new small arts related business in LA and have ordered some postcards about my service. How can you place these cards in local cafes, bars, cinemas etc? Is it a matter of approaching every manager personally or are there affordable services you can use to place the cards for you? Thanks!

A. do a search for street teams. Every major city has them. For a fee, they can distribute them for you. In addition, you can also call these places ahead of time to see if you can drop some off.

Where is the best place to appraise or sell antique wooden Leblanc clarinet?
Q. What is the best place to appraise or sell antique clarinet? I inherited an old Clarinet from my uncle. It's a wooden Leblanc & I believe it is late 1950's or early 1960's. It's in excellent condition & I am told it is rare. I am trying to sell it but I would like to know what it is worth first. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best place to find out what this clarinet is worth? Thank you in advance!

A. 50's/60's isn't an antique. That's actually pretty modern as clarinets go. I play on a 1920's Conn that also isn't an antique. Take it to your local clarinet repair tech and he/she can tell you the model and age as well as the playing condition. Some of the Leblanc Paris clarinets are incredibly good playing professional instruments. Most have a value in playing condition between $400-600. This doesn't include the lower Vito or Noblet models. Some older Leblanc Paris clarinets can be worth well over $1000.
