What exactly is required for visa to Abu Dhabi if I have a job offer from an employer there?
Q. Please can you help and provide me details in terms of what is required for a work visa. I will be applying for a transfer to Abu Dhabi with my present employer who also has offices in Abu Dhabi. I would like to know what my employer would have to do and also what would be required from me to get the work visa. Any information provided will be greatly appreciated.

A. 1. Yes. You (or your company) needs to get all correct documents filed with the Dubai Labour Department before expiry of grace period. You get a new labour card and transfer your residence visa (I think). 2. If your application has been filed with labour department then it should be fine from the perspective of working without a work permit. But otherwise, yes, you can do a Hatta visa run and get another 30 days. 3. Visit visa can be transferred to residence visa easily if documents are filed correctly and on time. 4. Yes if you get Abu Dhabi visa cancelled. But that assumes a degree of trust because they will have to say that you are officially working, and you won't be. So you could claim they're not paying your salary, and they could… [cont.]

What will be the response of Abu Dhabi to the new Al Maktoum Airport of Dubai?
Q. Abu Dhabi is richer than Dubai but why it's far behind Dubai's infra projects? Dubai has existing airport in the metropolis but decided to have another one just 40 kilometers away.
Asked by b787_a350 - Mon Jul 5 12:36:27 2010 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Why should Abu Dhabi have any respond to Dubai's new Airport? I wouldn't call Abu Dhabi being far behind Dubai's infrastructure. Because of Dubai's less oil and gas reserves, Dubai had/has to focus on international tourism and inernational investments. This doesn't mean you won't find the same in Abu Dhabi, but Abu Dhabi's politics is more conservative and culture related.

A. Legaly you cant work for the company. In case you want to earn money : Solution 1:If your parents want to give you money to do something special for them like arranging the house, cleaning the garden, helping your friends to do something ...( instead of giving money for those part time house cleaners) Solution 2: Dont spend much when your parents give you money for perhaps expensive jeans. But good one on sale, and the rest of the money keep aside ...hope this soultions could help

How much is the rental for a studio in Abu Dhabi?
Q. For your kind information, I am a female (non smoker) from Singapore. The budget given by my employer is AED40,000 to AED45,000 only per year. Highly appreciated if anyone could kindly advice which area could I rent and safe. In addition, my office is near to the airport. I am considering should I take the position, or remain in Singapore... Is the budget reasonable for a proper accommodation in Abu Dhabi (clean, safe and peaceful/quiet)? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you very much!

A. By visiting the link giving below, you'll find out, that studios are very rare in Abu Dhabi. Outside Abu Dhabi the minimum rent is Dhs 40.000 (but, don't want to know the condition of the building etc.) Anyway, to find a studio in the giving price range compares to a miracle. Save the above link and receive an alert when some interesting for you comes up. Another opportunity while working close to the Airport, is to look for shared accommodation in Khalifa City A and B. Big villas were build there in the middle of nowhere (desert) and it might be possible to find a family who sublets. Khalifa City is almost the half way to the Airport, but own transportation is necessary when living there. Good luck!

A. This is horrendous ! And you can't have any other worst time ! 1st. Departing from Abu Dhabi at 4:30pm means arrival in Jebel Ali, Dubai at 5:30 pm... what does this means? This means you are in the worst traffic time both for the Shk. Zayed Road and Emirates Road going to Dubai Academic City ! And for your question... buy and drive a car. A Mitrubishi 1.3L is the cheapest. Commuting (by taxi, by bus or sharing) would be the most expensive means not mentioning the time you are going to waste in waiting and in finding one ! And besides, no taxi will come and pick-you up from Academic to AUH for a normal fee. Drive and go. Your AED 50Hs. gas for the above car will give you at least 4 trips !

A. The price range for studio flats range from Dhs 70K - Dhs 140K depending on the building and area. These studio flats mostly are located in big villas. For own research on accommodation, please visit the link giving below: The average of your taxi fare? Who knows from where to where you have to go how often? Also be aware that 1. there are 3 kind of taxis with different tariffs and 2. Abu Dhabi has a new public bus system which seems to be realiable and is very cheap.
